If you like, be a part of the the early 20th-century picture by wearing
something appropriate for the period, about 1890-1919-- it might even be more fun that way.
Ladies, put on your biggest picture hat and you could win the Most Picturesque award!

Gentlemen, get your straw hat, bow tie, spats and cane
(or something like that) and you could win the Most Dapper award.

But if you don't care for dressing up, don't worry-- just be comfortable!
Still, for those who do put on something old-timey, adults can get a $2 discount at the door.
The good news is that you can get the same discount ($2 off $12 adult admission)
by purchasing your ticket in advance--
but sorry, you can't get both; there's only one discount per person.
Children 5-11 years are only $4; under 5 are free.

Admission includes bountiful home-made picnic food, cold drinks
and ice cream made on the spot.

Dig into traditional American picnic food, with succulent grilled meat and meatless offerings hot on the bun--
and plenty of tasty trimmings. Specially seasoned baked beans (our secret family recipe)
make a perfect accompaniment to your burger or dog,
along with crisp and tangy coleslaw with green peas and creamy potato salad.
But save room for fresh buttered corn on the cob!
Then, for sweet refreshment, perhaps a juicy slice of ice-cold watermelon or a cluster of ripe grapes.
Cookies and cakes too are near at hand in tempting profusion,
with chilled lemonade and iced tea to quench every thirst.

NOTE:

Three ice cream churns ensure that there's plenty for everyone, and you can have yours
either in a cone or in a real ice cream glass. You can even help make the ice cream--
and those who turn the crank taste first!
